My issue is slightly different for my outside radio. Every time I plug into power or start the genny, the outside radio turns on. I've gotten used to it to the point that when AC power first starts, I just automatically unlock the compartment and turn off the radio. I keep the volume high enough that I'll hear it if I forget but low enough that, if I'm gone from my site for the day and power to the park is interrupted, the radio won't disturb the neighbors when the power comes back on. Guess I'll have to look into mounting a disconnect switch in the outside cabinet.
