We've already run into this problem twice, both on I-40. My wife and I discussed this well before that and the answers is always NO as we don't know who they are, what their intention are or what they may have.. We're on Rt. 40 a few years ago and the flood waters shut it down. They put us on this huge detour where we were stuck for 12 hours. We'd often move about a half mile and then sit for a hour, wander around the lanes chatting until our next move and get repeatedly asked for food.
About 4 hours into it we get approached and asked to use the bathroom. We very politely said no and boy where they pissed. They walked about 1/2 dozen vehicles up and asked another RVer.
That Rver said yes and let them in. Within 5 minutes they had a big line of people using their Rv as a bathroom. This went on for a good 20 minutes until we had to move again. I got a chance to talk to the poor couple after the traffic stopped again. The husband looked at me and said, "now I know why you told them no". They trashed his bathroom and used up all his toilet paper and they were left with nothing. When they came for a second round he took my suggestion and told them no more toilet paper, no more water and tanks were full. I gave him a brown paper bag with a couple of rolls and told him to keep it quiet.
SO the answer is NO, NO, NO... No I don't care that you have kids, that's what bushes are for. I don't care what you call me, the answer is still no. I don't care that you threaten me(why they thought that would work is mystery), I'm armed and the answer is still no.
Sounds harsh, but people take advantage.
