On a previous TT, when we first bought it someone said the cords get tangled up sometimes so I made the cord compartment accessible with a removable panel (on inside). The cord never did tangle up tho.
I eventually converted to a Marinco detachable outlet and turned the vacant cord box into a permanent storage spot. (Can never have too much storage space.) The detachable cord upgrade is definitely worthwhile. Cost me under $150 (a few years ago) including a new Marinco cord. Also added a new connector to the end of the old cord and carried it around as an extension cord if over 25' needed sometimes.
