Exactly, just because some thing is illegal does not make it stupid. I will send $5 to anyone on this forum who has never broken a law. Every body breaks laws everyday, if you believe breaking a law makes you stupid then look in a mirror to see stupid.
The guy pulling double in Florida may not have known it was illegal or was prepared to deal with getting stopped and the risk was worth it to him. Not stupid, just different values from some other folks.
