We have the portable 30 amp Surgeguard and it saved us once in Maine right after an electrical storm. When it shut down our electricity, I took a voltmeter reading at the pedestal and the A/C voltage was 150 volts! The two rigs on either side of us had their plasma TVs burn out + their invertors. Inside our rig I have a plug-in A/C monitor that shows voltage and beeps with error codes for various electrical problems, including high and low voltage.
I can see the A/C voltage at all times, so I know when the park has low voltage where I can't run the micro and other appliances at the same time.
