Surprises just keep coming ... new 5er
This is my 5th camper, 1 pop-up, 3 TT's, and now a 5er. In all my campers, I've always lit the oven pilot light by hold the oven knob to the on position, waiting a few seconds, then igniting a fire...

... Then I wonder why spark igniters haven't been on RV propane ovens for years?
I wonder if there isn't something we're all missing? Sometimes folks do DIY things that seem to be OK ... and sometimes there's negative stuff in the background that they may have all missed and still has not come back to bite them. :h
(However, the igniter on our RV's stovetop does have an unused sparker line port on it - for some reason.)
