swapping propane tanks
I have searched the forums for this topic and cannot locate any information, so please excuse me if this has already been discussed. I am curious about swapping out empty propane tanks for full ones....

No such thing as a full Blue Rhino tank! They only fill them 80% full and you pay more for the "convenience" of swapping the an empty for full I will continue to have mine filled at a local suppler.
I don't think 3&1/2 gals. is 80% of a 20# bottle? I was told by a delivery person that was what they put in them in my area.
When my 30# tank is empty it takes about 7.1 gallons to fill it, that is where the fill stations auto shut off stops!
Yes I have had a 30# filled at a TSC and it held around 7 gals. also had a 20# filled same place that held shy of 5gals.
