You have a GM truck, so the nifty TV brake pedal switch...which takes about 0.01" movement of the pedal to turn on that switch...way before the MC's piston ever creates any braking PSI on the TV's braking lines
If you touched the brake pedal during that episode...the P2/P3 saw a 'turn' on via that nifty GM brake pedal switch and is my guess why the trailer brakes turned on to straighten out the whole thing...and...if you did NOT continue to press the brake pedal any farther...the Sub's brakes NEVER developed any PSI on it's braking system...to pull the whole thing straight
No different than reaching over and slide/touch/etc the trailer controller's manual lever. IT turns on the trailer brakes and then the accelerometer takes over from there to apply ever more braking voltage to the trailer brakes
That is what I do all the time with borrowed trailers that are not setup completely...borrowed so only so much am willing to do...or just say thank you and return it with a few of my "Ben's Rib Eye Steaks"... :B
