I feel the same, the combination of the length and that much weight should be looking at a 3/4 ton as the solution. My bet your setup, at the scale will have you 400 plus pounds over your payload and over a 1000pds on your combined. Trailer stocked and ready to camp.
A week ago, the OP said his next stop was "to the scales".
Perhaps we'll soon have some actual basis for speculating.
