Found my sweetie seated on her rear from a fall off the stairs where I had parked last trip boon docking with too steep of a drop off slope even using a platform step as the 4th stair, so next week the dealer will add a 4 step entry. Our fifth wheel entry is 38" from ground level and the first step up at level is about 14" high. With the fall she luckily had a soft landing between two boulders and only got small abrasions and bruises. She lost her balance as she stepped up on the first step trying to lean back while holding onto the grab bar to allow the door to open and swing by her. She's short and hopefully more stairs will help with her safety. Also letting the two sister bull terriers out at night with their leashes on and making it down the steep steps also gets very precarious for me and the girls. Anyone else made this change?

My OFF-ROAD POPUP trailer comes with large wheels and has the two entry steps. This too leaves the first step pretty high off the ground.I just picked up one of those fold-out steps to put on the ground to amke up the difference.Looks like this from AMAZONMost of the time we have this without the legs folded-out.Since most of our trips are OFF-ROAD camping this HD step grated platform is great to stomp on before entering the POPUP.Folds up and sits just inside the entrance door when in travel mode.Roy Ken

I considered a 4 step for my FW but never bought because I figured it would be even more springy than a 3 step. I now have a Torq Lift revolution glow step. It's a very nice set up. More money but everything good costs more.

I bought a 2014 Jayco premier that came with 3 steps. It didn't take me long to find a 4 step setup from the same manufacturer that made the steps. I changed it myself with only 4 bolts to fool with. It made a world of difference! Very happy with the outcome.

After my wife fell on our steps i bought these They cost alot but i wouldnt have anything else now. A trip to the ER would be more. Now when we step out have a platform to step out on plus a hand rail. Takes about 2 min to put up and take down.

I do not know if you have a handle on the side of the door, I installed one on our C that folds for travel and I added a wood grab handle inside so that DW could make it up and down, she goes in and out facing in, adding a step will help and using a stand to prevent the steps from rocking is also good.

I swapped out the 3-step for the 4-step Quadra Step because of the height. It works great, and wasn't that hard to do. We had a folding step before that, but the Quadra Step is much better. Peggy didn't think it would make much difference, but the first trip up and down the steps made a believer out of her. A very worthwhile addition to the toyhauler.
