Tax day and RV's

You deduct the interest (if you have a loan) like you would on a second home.

Only 35% of filers itemize these days. Many people think they are writing off the RV interest when in reality they are taking the standard deduction.

This one replaces the Golden Age, which was a NPS pass, with a broader pass for all Federal recreational properties outside DoD ( but CoE still honors it). When you try to use the Golden Age pass at a facility issuing the new one, they should offer to replace it with the new one, gratis.

Sine 08 there have been 420 new taxes, in one form or another by one report. I can't enumerate them.
Sales tax deduction, is a biggie, for us, as we have no income tax to deduct. Not sure the deduction is coming back.
We've looked at every way we can thing to find deductions, up unto the last hours to file.
Save and tally every receipt for sales tax.
The wealthy can take personal aircraft, off as a deduction, for personal security.
We should lobby, for the same reason for our personal roadcraft/coach.
Lot safer than other means. :)
Can't afford security detail so should be able to deduct that new Italian shotgun, for security.
Wonder how many advertisements, we would have to attach to mh to qualify as a business? Maybe flight suits like NASCAR, with ad labels for coffee, wine,detergent, and so on plus some exclusive to the RV community. :)

I can't even come up with half of the standard deduction for us. All we have is medical, RE taxes, and charitable giving. For us the standard deduction is a bonus.

I have never understood the benefit of paying $1,000 in interest so you can save $250 in income tax.
