Actually, some very small towns in Kentucky and Tennessee can be dangerous if you're a stranger and you're there around corn harvesting time. A lot of it doesn't make it's way into cans of succotash. Some of it gets turned into clear liquid and winds up in jars.
I had a friend that was a door to door salesman in the area, and he always took some time off in September. :)
