Our friends used a smaller tent than that one and tucked it in under their awning at night. Might not work that well if it was windy.
I would hesitate to purchase a tent that does not have a weather fly. Check your local Walmart or other department store that carries tents. You can often find a decent low use tent for under $100 that would work as well as that Coleman (who's goods are often overpriced in my opinion). I would not limit myself to instant up. It does not take that long to install shock poles. If needed, I can put our 4-person tent up by myself (and I'm a senior).
