Texas weather in June

You have to remember that Texas is bigger than a lot of countries. Can't make any blanket statements about the weather. What it's like around Houston is nothing like what we have.

TX is big...

The weather depends on where you plan to visit.I live in the eastern part,mixed pine hardwoods.West Tx & coastal bend each totally different weather & geology.

Texas is June? HOT. Tornado season is over.

We drove back to Washington DC two summers ago, we left middle of June , I had never been past NM. myself but once we hit Texas the humidity was like walking into a wall and I then found out first hand what others had said about humidity, it only got worse the further we went East !

Typically, tornado season is pretty much over by late May. Not to say they can't happen in June. By mid June summer has usually settled in here, generally with clear HOT days. By late June temps over 100 are not uncommon. And from mid June to early Sept daytime highs below 95 don't happen very often. And rain is typically scarce.

But this year has not been normal so far. Temps cooler than normal. Much more rain than normal. And many more severe storms, and yes tornados, than normal. But it should begin to settle out in the next couple of weeks.

Any time you are in tornado prone areas always ask the RV park office if they have a designated storm safe room or shelter.
