Thanks to all for the information and suggestions!!
As of today (qualifier; 'today'), the burp has disappeared. Maybe messing with everything; multiple flushing, flushing the vent pipe, snaking the vent and potty, has somehow giggled something.
I will keep my fingers crossed.
