Disagree, mainly for these reasons: 1) The unit is not necessarily going to sell faster at a dealer's than through a private sale. 2) Consignment is good business for the dealer, not the seller. 3) A consignment vehicle on a dealer's lot can be subject not only to more wear and tear from people tromping in and out (decreasing its value even further and providing even less $ to the seller) but also to vandalism in an unsecured lot.
X2 And Consignment units are the Red-Headed Step Child of any Dealers lot. There is little profit in them and less Commission for the sales staff. They often languish at the far back of the lot with deflated tires and cant be started. No, keep it looking good and run-able and sell it yourself.
