Reading all these posts makes me think about where and when repairs are most needed - well, RV's spend most of the time on the road, away from home. So, the buyers that are not at home (most) when a part fails, are kinda up the creek.
In our on-the-road repair situations (only a few times), we generallyget an RV site, then call a mobile repair guy that's recommended by the host.
That's how most of the mobile repair guys get customers - LOCAL RV campgrounds. That means, he will most likely do good work, otherwise, he will burn his referrals and have very little business.
X10 !
Once I learned about RV Mobile Repair that is the ONLY way I have my MH repaired and maintenance performed.
these guys are way beyond competent. They know so much about RV's that half the time what I thought I needed done they knew a better and less expensive way to fix it properly.
They don't advertise anywhere because they have a full schedule. This is their only business and it is based on good word of mouth.
As mentioned above ask the CG host or owner who they use. And/or check the check in office. The local RV Mobile Repair guys leave their business cards at the office.
Can't say enough about these guys. No leaving your RV for days, weeks, and months for repair. Mobile Repair will have you up and running within hours right at your site.
It's been my experience that if you do need a part? These guys call it in and they have the part the next day and installed that same day!!!
You won't find that at a dealership when they often tell you the part will be in in a couple of weeks. :R I found that to be total baloney when a mobile repair guy can get it the next morning and the dealership takes weeks and weeks?
