The McCann's are still missing- $60K reward

Question

Some of you will remember the sad story of an Alberta couple whose motorhome was hijacked and later found burned to the ground. Their toad was missing, and the senior couple have never been found.
Now charges have been stayed against the only suspect that the police had....

Bear in mind that the charges were STAYED not dismissed. This means that if more evidence should arise in the future involving the accused the charges can be reinstated.

It was on TV news that new evidence was the reason for the stay.  There must have been evidence of the suspect's innocence or at least discredit of some evidence against him, making conviction unlikely.   He is a known nasty person who is in jail on other convictions.
