With DRW you can pretty much put the payload calculations out of your mind. One less thing to think about.
Ram 4X4 SRW drive trucks sit 2" higher than 4X4 DRW. Might make a difference when fitting to your trailer.
Some downsides to a dually that I have found: It needs to stay home when heading to the city center with on street parking. It is harder to see an empty boat trailer with your mirrors. Takes more time to check tire pressures. Less choices if you desire fancy wheels in the future. Longer reach when accessing the bed from the side. All pretty minor when considering the better quality tow.
