The Old Drain Hose Under the Tow Vehicle Trick

SO when I tent camp what am I suppose to do with the dirty dish water?
I wash my dishes in a two gallon tub then pour it out in different locations in my site, usually next to a tree. Am I stupid for doing this?

And yes, I have seen dead trees where campers have poured their beacon grease next to it. Mine goes in the fire pit. Oh lord, let's start the "dumping in the fire pit" debate!
