Here's a perspective that we have, that I don't think has been mentioned.
We do a lot of short trips in the summer and fall and usually one long distance destination type trip per year.
But even on those days when the trailer is just sitting there in the driveway, it REPRESENTS freedom and adventure for us. When my wife and I look out into the driveway, we know that we can take off any time we want and stay as long as we want and just get away from family, the house, troubles or whatever. (We are retired).
Plus, I love just putzing with the trailer and making small mods and improvements.
