We have a savings and are looking into joining the full-time lifestyle, at least for a few years.
IMHO I most certainly would NOT blow my savings at your age on going full time for a "few Years".
I full-time. I lived my life, THEN sold the house and went full-time. It is NOT, I repeat NOT cheap to full-time. The average cost is 3,000+ a month. Yup you can boondock, workcamp, etc to cut costs but what fun is that when you are always looking for free and cheap because that is the 'only' way you can stay on the road?
Spending saved 'retirement' money PLUS 'income retirement' money on full time RV'ins is one thing. But IMHO it is not a wise thing to use up all your savings at your age for a 'few years' for the excitement of RV'ing.
You come off the road and all your savings are gone and you still have a lot of life left to live in the real world minus any savings! :B
And the most recommended advice from us full-timers is for everyone to snowbird a season first BEFORE ever jumping into full-time RV'ing.
Good luck in what ever endeavor you decide to do.
