Interesting, I'm a retired trucker 20 years over the road, 15 as a short haul company driver and let me tell everyone, I always park on the truck side and usually between a couple big trucks.
Your daughter sounds like one of truck driving school wannabees. I never went to truck driving school, learned by doing it. If it rolls down the road, I can drive it and drive it safely. Not that I want to anymore, I'm retired now.
My last 15 years was all overdimension loads, over height, over width, over length and overweight. Lots of them police escort daylight running only. The outfit I retired from, if you could get it on a truck deck, you hauled it. I've hauled everything from locomotives to sub station transformers.
