DA from me, too. I have the utmost respect for truckers. They have a hard job and many people do not understand that virtually everything we touch has been on a truck at one time or another, either in piece form or as a whole. However, truckers DO NOT own the road. They share it. The mentality that one group has more priority than another on the road is what leads to road rage and accidents. Were the people in the camper correct in their behavior? No. Was the OP's daughter? No. BOTH sides are showing the "me first" attitude. Of course the refer should not be shut off-but the arrogance of the trucker playing tough guy is unacceptable. She, herself, could wind up on the losing end of the stick.
Despite the subject line, which I would agree is a bit inflammatory, as I understand it this woman was sleeping in the cab of her truck when someone woke her up to ask her to shut off the reefer. There was no road rage - she was stopped. How does she behave while driving? We don't know.
How was the OP's daughter not "correct" in her behavior? What I read was that she refused to shut off the reefer. When it was apparent that the RV folks weren't happy with that and were going to mess with her rig she called the cops. She could have easily beaten them to death with a tire iron and shoved them in the reefer. But she didn't. I think it was a win-win situation for everyone involved. But that's just me. I try not to infer anything beyond what was presented in the original post.
