  • And the RVIA RESPONDS

LOL. Notice they mention nothing about "towables". I assume if you have to stomach a lemon law you would want it to only cover 10% or so of what your Industry produces. If lemon laws were enacted on towables, the entire RV Industry would be out of business in short order, and they know it.
  • And now THIS.

Thanks for the 10 years Greg. I bet Marcus Lemonis, Pete Liegl at Forest River, the bigwigs at Thor, Winnebago, etc are all jumping for joy in their underwear since the announcement.

Sad really. Now everyone can get their Industry news from the sugar coaters at RVIA / RVbusiness.com. Like the manufacturers brochures that use the words quality and workmanship 1000 times, they're strait up amd honest.

    I don't read that website.
    I don't read the RVIA.
But its highly doubtful that this guy which you so affectionately admire had any meaningful impact on the quality and workmanship of the RV manufacturers. He likely didn't help create any greater number of campgrounds or significantly improve the experience of any RVer. Like many websites, it looks like he just aggregates data from other sources and re-posts. Nothing wrong with that, and I certainly don't knock him for doing something that he enjoys...
But there's not anything meaningful there to be missed.

10 word synopsis of the long article: Takes too much time, doesn't make enough money. I quit."

I too could care less. The RV industry is big business - mostly in the business of putting the screws to consumers. Maybe it needs to be regulated - maybe it needs lemon laws. But none of that is going to happen because elected officials are getting their pockets filled.

One guy squaking about it on an unknown website isn't going to change anything - just gives some forum posters less content to dig up and uselessly re-hash. The comment " it looks like he just aggregates data from other sources and re-posts" strikes home here on RV.net it seems.

This guy is just a feather that finally got blown away.

Why post anything if you don't read the website? How would you know there is not anything meaningful if you don't read it? Why comment on something you know nothing about by your own admission? Why is it when you post, it seems the other in house whizbang posts also within seconds and always in agreement? Butt Buddies or something?

    Exactly...
I remember a peaceful time on here recently that lasted about a week or 2 when he decided to hang up his keyboard.

you simply posted a link to a one sided story, which essentially made your post worthless.
