Did you see the other thread on this same subject? You think your fire pit was nasty- this poor guy found himself in a site where some slob had emptied their black tanks right on the ground!
Ugh. So far, the worst I've heard about when boondocking is people digging a 4-6 foot deep trench, dumping their black tanks into that, then covering the hole after the water seeps down into the ground. Basically a trench latrine.
Of course, here in Austin, come busy weekends there are certain storm drains that mysteriously smell of black water only during those times, but never smell of anything at any other time of the year.
