This dealership is growing and putting in many bays in a new 2 story building at the old Ford Wixom T-Bird plant location. Should be state of the art but let's see if their service will live up to their new location.
That might be on hold. Indefinitely. There is ground contamination on the building site and the site is as large as a small town. Heard that from them. Manufacturing plants use some pretty nasty stuff. If it's in the ground it's a issue. Also General RV has the same issue with the ground under there current Wixom facility. Back when building codes weren't as complicated the builder bulldozed a dump site to build their building. The ground started to cave in some of there bays many years ago. There was some serious issues back then.
Well I picked my car back up today. All seems well. The only thing that got my attention is the Jeep dealer noted they had to remove the trans cooler to replace the line as General RV mounted the base plate where it was rubbing it and made it not accessible. So I assume that meant they moved it over to clear the base plate. Being optimistic I take that as a good thing. Something was fixed before it had an opportunity to rub a hole in the trans cooler or line while normal driving. Could have happened many miles down the road.
So it was all a blessing in disguise.
