Sounds to me like the original post is actually a compliment to General RV. I applaud them for owning up to their mistake and making it right with the OP. Many shops would have simply repaired the damage and never said a work to the unit owner, waiting for him to discover the damage at a later date.
I use the General RV Wayland location for most of the work on our current unit. While they may not be the least expensive, they do stand behind their work. We, in fact, purchased our current rig from the Wayland location. I've been very satisfied with the deal we got, and the service after the sale.
Kudos to General RV for being open and forthright about the damage.
