I haven't been east to Yellowstone yet but it is on out bucket list. My dad always told me he walked uphill both ways to and from school so it must be the same driving. I have noticed that people drive way to fast and if they are pulling a trailer it does not make ant difference even if they are towing up or down hill.
We go south to AZ every year and get 10.5 MPG with our diesel, maybe that is down hill.
