DW and I are planning a similar trip, mid Michigan to Grand Canyon, mostly following your same route as far as Denver, and same time table of 2 weeks. How much road construction did you have to deal with? Also, how did you manage to stay on your strict time table with wife and 2 kids in the vehicle??????
