Things I noticed on my trip out west.
So we took a 2 week trip to Yellowstone, Tetons and Colorado Springs from the NW Chicago burbs. 3900 miles averaging 7.6mpg. Things we noticed..... It's all uphill from here. 7k ft rise in elevati...

See, this is all very good info to have. I didn't find anything about the Submarine and lake in IA. but even still I wasn't looking for things to do in IA, because I`m so close from home.
And as I said about North Platte NE. it is not RV friendly! I pulled into town and after trying to find a gas station and a place to eat I gave up and went down the road 10 miles and got gas and food. I knew about the rail yard and had plans on going to see it, but the town made sure RV`ers couldn't get to it.
