Things I noticed on my trip out west.
So we took a 2 week trip to Yellowstone, Tetons and Colorado Springs from the NW Chicago burbs. 3900 miles averaging 7.6mpg. Things we noticed..... It's all uphill from here. 7k ft rise in elevati...

I'm on your side. Eastern CO and western KS are the most forsaken places I've ever been in.
And I was somewhat underwhelmed by Yellowstone, too. It's a cool place because not just everywhere is there steam coming out of the ground in random locations.
But for sheer beauty, and a place I will re-visit every chance I get, give me Montana & Glacier NP.
