When you have a short time and you want to make the most of it you do drive past a lot of things. I had a week and in order to make the most of it we beelined for Colorado. We spent most of the time there and making day trips around the area. Then we drove straight through to get back to Illinois. I often have said some of those states in the great plains area are so flat you could see form one end to the other. Some day I'll have to slow down and see what Nebraska has to offer.
