Those 90's GMC throttle-body pickups - just before changing to the Vortex engine - were grand old trucks.
I just this past week spent around $2K on our 1995 Z71 GMC pickup keeping it in top mechanical shape. It runs great and pulls a horse trailer just fine in 2WD or 4WD. - wnjjExplorer IIProbably parked it there to keep someone from hooking up and hauling off his trailer.
So it's a Ford Courier hitch lock. - Thom02099Explorer IIDefinition of an "overachiever" ! :B

No photoshop here - I took the picture. I have a couple others from different angles. We spotted this on our normal route home; I decided I had to have a picture of it with RV.net in mind...
I overhauled the engine on one of these rigs many moons ago - it was quite the experience.
The days of the mini-truck are gone, and I sure miss them! I had a '72 1/2 Datsun pickup that I rebuilt, then an 82 extended cab in light blue, then an 88 Mazda extended cab in burgundy/dover white. We then moved to a 90 Silverado pickup, then to the 93 GMC in my sig. My son still has the 93.
This album contains pics of vehicles I've had or have an association with: Cars and Trucks and Boats, oh my! - korbeExplorerMaybe they have a local ordinance that requires rigs to be connected and not be stored on the street.

I like it also!! - MFLNomad III owned two Ford Courier trucks. Both were purchased new, one in 75, other in 81. They were real work horses, with stout suspension, and heavy duty tires. I used them to haul off/road dirt bikes/race bikes. While the running gear was solid, the bodies were just a tin can, that rusted quickly. I did tow a good sized pup with them, and other trailers as well.
Anyway, this post just brought back memories of fun times, thanks for posting!
Jerry - spoon059Explorer IIThe way some people worry about having enough bed clearance, seems this guy took it to heart.
