Interesting that you think this should be the camp host's job. If you have never volunteered, you may not understand that the camp host has a specific set of duties that are negotiated in advance. We were volunteers in a Georgia State Park and thought we were going to be campground hosts. Instead we were assigned to clean three restrooms in the state park but outside the campground. Those were our only duties and we would never do it again. We were parked in a host's site so people assumed were were campground hosts and I am sure thought we were shirking our duties.
