Both are completely safe for 'over-the-road' travel and both would work...
Ease of hookup and fold away storage when not in use and in fact, there's no comparison. Best way to pick a setup type is to look around and see what's used the most. As for braking, READYBRAKE included, it can be used with either one. However, if I was to go first class and do it right, then I'd buy, which I have, the READYBRUTE/ELITE in the first place and be done with it all.
