  • Not just the RV industry. With the current low unemployment rate and booming economy, everyone is competing for employees. Even our small business. It is easy for someone to say just pay more. The options are try to keep your payroll as low as possible, or raise your prices so everyone pays more for the products/services.
  • They could probably get better workers if they doubled the hourly pay rate. But I wonder what that would do to the cost of a TT? And the companies all want to keep costs low so their prices are competitive with everyone else's. So they have little incentive to improve in that way.
  • I own a 2015 Thor Vegas. I love the way it drives, along with the floor plan. It just seems to be one thing after another with issues because of NO PRIDE IN THE WORKMANSHIP. I have talked to other brand owners and it seems to be in all brands. If a company would try building with pride and quality workmanship there is no doubt that they would be able to raise the price to achieve that and would not be able to keep up with demand.

This is a surprise? Walmart didn't get to be a huge business because they sell Rolex and Rolls Royce. As you say: "Cheap sells".

"What will it do to quality control?" I think you're going under the assumption that the present quality control is good. The quality control at most assembly plants seem to be lacking to say the least. So it would appear that it will be business as usual.

    I guess I'm thinking it'll get worse.
