Sounds like you've a well thought out plan and aren't making any spur of the moment life decisions, so as long as you and your family are on board, I say go for it. Homeschooling is nothing I would ever attempt since I haven't the patience. Actually did ensure that one of my children retained his written and spoken English when we lived overseas but that was only until we could get him registered in a private school for expats.
