Thousand Trails ??

We are looking at MH to purchase. The owner is willing to throw in his TTN Gold membership as part of the sale. How do I find out what it would cost to transfer and maintain (dues?) the membership as well as what the membership would entitle us to??

As I said, TT fits my life just now, for about 45 a month I get 1/2 of my summer parking and 2/3 of my winter parking. that works out to 2.25/night in the witner and 3.00 in the summer

I spend the other half of the summer in a competing membership park.. Now here is something strange.

By all ranking standards the other park is the better park, I mean where the park here has ONE swimming pool, no hot tub, the other park has six pools (3 full size swimming pools, 2 kiddy pools and a lazy river) and 3 hot tubs (one hot tub and one full size are indoor)

This park (TT) has but one full size.. I like it better.

The other park has swings, Put Put golf, TWO family centers, A Grill/restaurant/store open 7 days a week. And "Fields" (Tennis, Backetball et-al)

This one has a store open 3 days a week, Tennis/B-Ball, no put-put, no grill one family center (Smaller too)

So why do I like the Thousand Trails park better? Well, the staff for one thing.
  • The zone passes are a good option for those who are less than full time.

No long term commitment, no dues, no maintenance.

    Around $500.00

    Their website has the details.
  • We've had our Thousand Trails Membership for 11 years now. For us, its great. We have our summer planned out using Oregon and Washington. I second the advice. Call TT , check the fees. Go to the website, check out the preserves. Some of the preserves are ok, some of them are very nice. You will always find people that will find they don't like TT or they had a bad experience. I gotta believe there are alot of people out there that like TT cause every year I have to make reservations way in advance to get into the preserves in Oregon, especially the ones on the coast like Seaside and Whalers Rest. (Bend also and try getting into Palm Springs without a reservation during the winter))
Let see....pickleball, bar b q's, ice cream socials, saturday breakfast. Burgers in the afternoon, swimming pool, jacuzzi, doggy treats at the ranger station for our pups, meeting up with old friends. Good enuf for me and wife. Check it out. We really enjoy our membership, 60 or 70 nights a year.

    Ask yourself some questions:

    1. Do I like TT as a camping destination?
    2. About how many nights a year will I use my membership?
    3. If I divide my annual dues into the number of nights I'll use the membership what is the nightly cost?

If number one is answered "yes" and if the results of number two and three is acceptable to you, you've answered your question. If not, you'll probably be happier without the membership and its obligations.

Number 3 won't give you nightly cost; it'll give you how much time you can spend there for a dollar...

But then who actually does arithmetic anymore anyway?:W
  • If there were a TT CG nearer to me and its quality is up to par, I'd definitely consider the 525 bones for a zone pass. Sometimes I like heading to somewhere familiar, but well away from work and such just so I have a quiet spot to read books.
