Tile exploded
As suggested, I put an unglazed tile in my oven to even out the heat. It just exploded. What gives?

- My guess is it had moisture in it.
- Walmart has pizza stones for less tha $15. They work great.
- That's why a $1.98 glazed floor tile is better.... It's already been fired at a much higher temperature than what your oven heats too....
- Had one for years until I sprayed water on it.
- World markets cost plus has a pizza stone that's perfect for rv ovens

Agreed.
Been using one for years.- Mine cracked when a drop of water hit it.. Just split in two.. Sounded like an explosion.
Water and 350 degree tiles do not mix well.
Oh, still does the job of heat regulation..Just now in two pieces. - Ours is in two also still works. Now dont have to worry about breaking it.
