Time for annual oil change.

Well getting ready to do my annual oil change. I run Shell Rotella T-6 5-40 full synthetic. I decided look online and see if shell was still doing a rebate. They still are but they change the rules. Now you can only get 2 rebates per household so if you buy 5 gallons of oil (in gal bottles) you can only get rebates on 2 gallons of $7.00ea or $14.00 if you just buy the gallons. I found they sell it at Walmart in 2.5-gallon containers this will allow you to get a rebate on each one of $17.50 or $35 for the two.

This is actually a better deal than the last one as it was $5.00 per gal for only 4 gal or $20.00.

You must be one of the lucky ones. I tried doing this rebate twice a year apart and both times when I called to check on my rebate they had no record of it. I have talked to other people who had the same problem. We do rebates from other places all the time without a problem just with Shell. I think all rebates should have to be instant at the check out.

You should get a confirmation number after submitting the form, I did have to go back and do it the second time.

Just put it in your account, use it to justify buying things, over and over. I recently run across a windfall of $92, that I had forgotten about. Since adding it to my checking account, I've used it to justify a new generator, new Winter coat, and new insulated/waterproof hunting boots. Disclaimer: doesn't really work, but makes one feel better about spending for things really not needed. :C
