It's always seemed strange to me that people will ignore forecasts by meteorologists that have years of schooling but believe a rodent.
Maybe it is because in 2017, almost all meteorologists predicted a El Nino year for the West coast. It was very dry, very.
Maybe it's because they are taught to make predictions.
Maybe because it is like all professions, they are practicing.
I would put those little emojis at the end of my sentences but I really believe that most animals can sense things SCIENCE cannot explain.
Predictions and forecasts are 2 totally different things.
X2. our wx guys here in Chicago are pretty good and usually accurate. the groundhog thing is a fun distraction. we've been to Punxsutawney PA and saw the area where the "ceremony" is held but we were there the wrong time of year. during the rest of the year the groundhogs reside in comfort at the local library. try not to take this so seriously. - WiscampsinExplorer

People play along with the Santa Claus and Easter Bunny myth also. It's all in good nature. It's better the being an old curmudgeon.

Not only was George Carlin a gifted comedian he was a deep thinker.
“Tell people there's an invisible man in the sky who created the universe, and the vast majority will believe you. Tell them the paint is wet, and they have to touch it to be sure.” - memtbExplorer

After years of listening to Meteorologists that almost always get it wrong, I trust animal behavior long before a Meteorologist. It is the only profession where you can be wrong all the time and still have a job.
