Here in Nc it depends on where you are located city/county. Registration itself is either $28 or $35..I forget which one, but your tax is dependent on your location. Just got the tax bill on my wife's brand new 2103 Ford Explorer. Only $160 as we live in the county and not in any city limits. If we lived in Charlotte just 30 (not even that far technically) then it would be more than double that. Heck just a few miles from where we live in mooresville city limits it would be double of what we pay. I'm expecting a tax bill on our motorhome of about $350.
