Big brother is going to get you one way or another. I am in NY very high property taxes, but lower auto registrations.
We have investigated moving,but looking at the grand total all but a few states (no insult to those that live in them and love them) that you couldn't pay me to live in total cost of living is pretty close. If you aren't being gouged on one aspect they are sticking it to you on another
