SC is a lot less expensive than NY (I moved from NY 7 years ago). In NY I had to pay 8.5 % sales tax on any vehicles (cars trucks & RVs) SC has a maximum sales tax of $300 on all vehicles. Also if your RV meets certain requirements (Toilet, kitchen etc it is taxed as a second home at a lower rate. Everything is cheaper here
That's music to my ears as we recently purchased a home there and will be moving there within a year.
Fuel is about $1.00 less per gallon, I am paying 1/5 the property taxes as NY for a house almost triple the size. The land here is one and 1/2 acres in NY my house was on 1/3 an acre.
One thing I hated in NY was saving and returning the soda to get my 5 cents back, in SC there is no deposit and the roads are not littered with empty bottles.
The gun laws here are less restrictive
I could never afford this house in NY
I added an extra two car garage for a total of 4 cars
