tiny house
can anyone explain to me this big interest in tiny Houses I just saw one 256 sq ft for 74,900. I have seen beautiful 5ers out there that put this to shame. am I missing something

Same question here. Never seen one in a CG so where do they go to get hookups? Mom and dad's back yard or what? Do they have holding tanks and all the other things to make one self-contained like an RV?
A lot of it is media hype I think. Maybe more appealing to the millennial generation too? I saw one young couple on TV convert an old schoolbus into a tiny house. They clearly had no idea how to do things and safely as well.
It may be a regional thing as far as definition of a tiny house, however many are meant to be permanent or semi permanent structures including the deeded lot they sit on. Some have full foundations and basements. They are just meant to have a very small foot print and low up keep costs. Many don't feel the need for the baggage of a 1500 square foot house. I get that, but I like my house, albeit, why I need 1500 square feet and three bathrooms is beyond me :)
