Just read thru the posts.. seems to me that balance would be worse until you got to a certain speed (video and other comments). I would hope that speed is fairly low as I would not want my tires going crazy at 35mph or even 25mph. The other thought that came to mind, one comment I read said you can't over do it, but if you were to put 10oz of beads in a motorcycle tire, it would be 10oz out of balance on top of the actual out of balance until it got to the speed where all is good.. that would be a crazy out of balance.
I looked up my trailer tire size on one of links provided and it said 4oz for trailer tire size 235/80R16 8 or 10 ply rating. That is quite a bit of weight, other tires took up to 10oz.. I'm thinking less is better up to a point..
A comment I read said, you can sell $5 worth of beads for $50. This made me think of the Centramatics since a set of 4 for travel trailer is $199. The value of the Centramatic is I don't have to mess with beads, I can change the tire and the balance ring stays on the hub.
I'm considering getting them for the travel trailer instead of putting beads inside the tire. I will wait and see how the tires do first, then decide.
