There have been write-up articles about AA and the negative effects it has on tires,dashes etc.
You can believe them or not . Back in the cruising days that's all we used on the tires and on the dash .
Then noticed how the AA would fume off onto the windshield. And even tho I sprayed the rag then wiped the tires with it the AA still came off onto the fenders / rims.
When I had a tonneau cover made for my El-camino and the soft vinyl top redone on it.
The very well known upholster guy said throw the AA in the garbage , might as well be putting a light grade oil on the tires ,tonneau cover dash etc ...
He said he only used 303 and warrantied the tonneau covers ,vinyl roofs work he did for cracks if the customer used 303 and only 303...
These days I don't use any kind of dressing on the tires, I like the new look of them.
I use Coment, Ajax, and a good scrub brush , even the white raised lettering looks like new when I'm done cleaning them...
