Tire protection.

Was at the storage lot doing some things to the HH and the guy next to me was winterizing and just before he left he sprayed something on his tires. Asked him if he was sprucing it up to sit for the winter. He said someone stole his tire covers so he sprayed them for protection. Didn't ask what he used. Seemed like a good idea for short term. Anyone have any ideas what to use?

    303 here too. Use it on all the door and window moldings on the vehicles and camper, our Achilles Hypalon boat, tires, camper roof..... In fact, Rex at Northstar said to use it on the entire camper. It's also one of the only products recommended for use on convertible tops.

    I've been spraying my tires with '303' for the 6 years I've had them. I'm thinking about replacing them but no cracks or other sign of rubber deterioration so I'll probably keep spraying and wait until next year sometime.

    According to the 303 website, it's safe for use on rubber. From personal experience I've never had any problems with it on tires, graphics or kayaks.

    I might be wrong here but it seems to me that I had read an article that even 303 is bad for tires or any thing rubber for that matter. I am surprised they still sell that stuff.

    Another vote for 303. Nothing scientific, just recommendations from our RV service dept, independent tire dealer and most everyone here.

    There is NOTHING that can be safely sprayed on tires that will protect them from ultra violet light damage. If someone takes your covers your only Good Recourse ifs to buy another set.
    Tires are way too important to begobbing stuff found in the garage on them. Even chemicals used to beautify tires damages them by drying then out. That's why the effect is only temporary

    Try 303. I've been using it on our Southwind tires for years.

    I would do some checking before I put the Rubber Roof treatment on my tires. I'm pretty sure that the rubber roof material is quite a bit different from tire material. :)

    They may have changed the ingredients in ArmorAll but I used it on my motorcycle tires many years ago and the sidewalls cracked horribly. I've never used it on anything else since.

    Hey, just found about a half gallon each of Protect-all and Protect-all Rubber Roof treatment on my shelf. Dont know why the roof stuff wont work. Thanks for getting my brain engaged!
