What if someone has a modern lightweight unit that sits on 13" oor 14" tires?

Surely you wouldn't be advocating they run P-rated radials on them?

Are you sure you aren't looking at the "Load Range" rather than speed rating?

The majority of the RVing population doesn't even know that all tires have a speed rating

Maxxis ST tire load-inflation chart with speed rating They are rated to 65 mph.

Carlisle Radial Trail RH Trailer in the size I use (235-80R16) have a speed rating of "L" ie 75 mph

On Maxxis website it just says high speed radial. I found the R rating in an add for them. I have never looked at mine.

Unless Maxxis has completely redesigned the M8008's????
Mine are rated for 65mph.

Everything I have seen regarding the Maxis' 8008's is that they have a max speed rating of 65 as do most, not all, of the ST's out there. Either way my experience is that the Maxis' represent the best of ST tires. My max towing speed is 60 so it doesn't mater in my case.
